One for the road. A BBA Barley Wine. I'm looking forward!!
The beer colors transparent, deep brown. An off-white, fairly moussy head. Sweet dried fruits in the scent: date and fig, first and foremost. Vanilla refuses to stay caged. Brown sugar and a small amendment of cacao nibs seal the olfactory cocktail this time.
The gustatory sphere performs! Yeah! Brown sugar, date, vanilla, a suggestion of cacao nibs, fruity Bourbon, fig and barrel notes. Some obvious nuances are absent though, like raisin and plum.
The body is expected to be big. The ABV clocks a whopping 12.5 %. Is it then? Nope... Light-medium to medium maximum. A disappointment. A fairly similar cocktail in the aftertaste, I would say.
The mouthfeel is medium, lip-glueing, a tad heavy, soft, smooth and barrel aged. Reasonable, definitely enjoyable, but not a masterpiece. Layers are missing.

Une pointe sucrée avec une pointe acide le tout avec la maîtrise de L'Apaisée. No comment
