This Black IPA is a single hop nod to the combination of orange notes from Amarillo with a complex combination of caramelized and roasted malts. The taste is reservedly bitter from both a healthy kettle hop addition and the dark malt bill, this culminates in a beer which is a storm for the senses but still perfectly smashable. Find a new use for Amarillo beyond yellow and hazy beers in this modern take on a craft beer classic, Cheers!
Houblon : Amarillo

Decent drink with a nice orange fruit aroma. Creamy mouthfeel with a nice roasted malt flavour. Subtle orange taste leading to a bitter finish. Enjoyable drink and a good session ale

For me, more of a light porter than a black IPA. I’m getting gentle chocolatey malts, but not the bitter hop punch I want from this kind of beer.

Nice smooth beer. Reminds me of Belhaven Black even though that's a stout I believe.
