He invented the viameter, a rolling, measuring tool and made significant improvements to the roads between Knaresborough and Harrogate, putting Knaresborough on the map.

Decent drink. Nice hoppy aroma. Hoppy taste with a subtle fruitiness mixed in. Slight tropical fruit note leading to a subtle sweet finish. Enjoyable drink. Smooth and easy drinking session ale that's as described on the tin

It pours a hazy, golden colour with a white head. Aroma and flavour are of tropical fruits, almost lychee-like. Slightly creamy.

Hazy with citrus and tropical fruit flavours. Quite hoppy. Nice, refreshing beer.
