I see this doing the rounds lately, it must be the hot new helles in town. Pour was smooth with little or no foam and settled to a golden body with lots of carbonation and no head at all. Scent is like typical lager notes, slight hops, barley, water and grass, but it is more pronounced than usual, as though other helles are diluted by comparison. In the mouth it's very, very refreshing but the humid weather could be a contributing factor to that. What is notable is that it is not very crisp which at first seems like a bad thing but if I consider how this has a more robust flavour, it could be a trade off. If it is, it's one I'm happy with. The taste is sublime, a very rich combination of barley and hops floods in and then there is a slight sweet honey note that softens the rich element and eases into an aftertaste that still carries lots of flavour. Very happy with this one.
