In the village of Appenzell, directly at the foot of the Alpstein, the family Locher brews a special beer. With fame and fortune, like all the others also. What everyone else but missing is the fresh water from the fabled Alpstein, directly from the source. This makes the Appenzeller beer so special. So unmistakable tasty and popular, that now already the fifth generation of the family brewery's creative beers.

Hellgoldenes, klares Spezialbier mit mittlerer, relativ stabiler, feinporiger, weisser Schaumkrone / in der Nase Noten von Getreide und Heu sowie leicht malzige Noten / im Gaumen leichter bis mittlerer Körper, spritzig / im Geschmack Aromen von Getreide und Brot, würzig, dezente Hopfenbittere, ausgewogen / angenehme Bitterkeit im grasigen, leicht zitronigen Abgang. Fazit: Sehr süffiges, erfrischendes und aromatisches Spezialbier! ABV: 5.2 % Vol. / IBU: 20

Good stuff. A rice beer, which I think is a new one for me. It’s got a satisfying crisp lager character. Good start to a Swiss trip 🇨🇭
