Some of Britain’s traditional brewers have struggled to come to terms with the brave new world of craft beer, but not Fuller’s. Without discarding their enviable heritage (or legendary marmalade-tinged yeast), they’ve remained up to date, producing interesting beers like the Vintage range, launched in 1997, which is made once a year with “the best malt and hops available at the time” (it says here). Their regular ales are also high-quality (although there are plenty of bad pints of London Pride out there, largely due to sloppy cellarmanship) with ESB, a beer which has inspired a whole style on the other side of the Atlantic, a true classic.

Bottle-500ml. Good. Almost an Ale, Lager hybrid. Very light in colour, with a little more flavour than a Lager. Nice and refreshing..pretty good. This was the first time drank and it was in May 2025.

Not a summery drink, will revisit in the winter. Full of flavour, but not for me

One nil at half time. Great goal. Amazing save. Come on Palace. Oh yes, a nice light pale ale. Cheers!

Hieman tunkkainen, joskin kelpo stout.
