At my son's house for Christmas Eve. We are going to open a bottle of Trader Joe's Spiced Ale that he gave me for Christmas last year. It's a 2023 spiced Belgium ale. It has a wired down cork, just like a champagne bottle. There was plenty of carbonation expelled when opened, and some of the head started coming out the top. Dark brown opaque color with a dark tan head. Aroma of spice, a little clove and traces of banana. Thankfully, the flavor isn't dominated by the clove or banana. The spice is very nice with traces of vanilla. Develops some roasted malt toward the finish. Flavor is mild in intensity, and what I call mellow. As it warms, it develops an almost banana bread quality. Not one that I would rush to buy, but it's enjoyable.

Bière forte et foncé avec des notes de rhum. Un peu trop présente au niveau des arômes pour moi

Je ne suis pas du type bière foncée habituellement, mais sous sa version légère, la p'tite maudite passe le test.
