Da hab ich doch noch einen Senatsbock gefunden. Den Hazelnator Doppelbock von Überquell. Es ist tief dunkelbraun mit Haselnussbrauner Krone. Es fließt ölig ins Glas. Es riecht malzig und rauchig. Im Antrunk taucht kurzzeitig eine leichte süße in Kombination mit Haselnuss Geschmack. Dann übernimmt das rauchige Malz wieder das Kommando. Würzig und bitter. Ein herrlicher Senatsbock. Gefällt mir extrem gut.

My face when I asked for a glass...🫣 Okay, maybe it's time to go back home. I don't know what color the beer is. You probably see why... I guess it's gold or something. A soft white head covers the surface. The fragrance is astonishingly restrained: biscuit and sweet malt only. In very small proportions. The gustatory provision doesn't impress me at all. I pick sweet-leaning malt, biscuit, waffle, sugar, banana, cantaloupe and a lemony twist. All in all, far too sweet to my taste. Especially for a Helles. 🤔 The body is light but not thin. Ends with a sweet sugar malty concoction. Feels light, a tad sappy, smooth, strange. Bulky? Shouldn't be but definitely not my pick next time.

Whoaah! That meal wasn't particularly light 😅 Maybe a digestive Pils to complete the enjoyment? The gown is limpid yellow. An off-white, creamy head decorates the top up to the level of one finger. The retreating foamy lid leaves thick zigzagging lacings on the glass. The nose receives pale malt, cereal and faint straw. Maybe also a whisper of biscuit. The taste is sweet-leaning pale malty with biscuit, cereal, distant butter or diacetyl, a hint of cantaloupe, lemon and a grassy injection. Feels light, refreshing, smooth, balanced, perhaps distantly diacetylic. Not bad although I've definitely had better ones.

Oljenkeltainen väri. Paksu pitsimäinen vaahto, joka jää myös lasin reunoille. Tuoksu hennon hedelmäinen, lievä lagermainen kananmuna. Suutuntuma hapokas, mutta haihtuu nopeasti. Maku melko tasainen, mutta ei selvästikään täysin puhdas. Suun takaosaan jää pieni katkeromaisuus lopuksi, jota tuo vaahto jo hieman ennakoi. Ei mennä siis Hellesien kärkeen, mutta ihan ok suoritus. Tosin mielestäni humalointi ei sopisi olla näin selvä.
